Mommywood.com was created in 2007, by Karina, a California native, former television producer and most importantly, mother of 2.

Our Mission

Passed down from generation to generation, the wisdom of mothers on how to raise children, is a treasured gift coveted by all moms in various stages of their journeys.

Those who’ve gone before them have learned, through much trial and error, how to handle everything from a colicky baby to a petulant pre-teen’s phone obsession to how to choose a pet for your family that will be a part of it rather than the ultimate menace to it.

In the past, mothers had a physical community of neighbors, friends and extended family that passed on nuggets of wisdom and helped each other navigate the adventurous waters of raising kids. Today, with more extended families living apart from each other and the ever-changing face of the American family, more moms, find themselves charting these territories alone.
