Bottle Feeding Safety Tips:

• Always wash your hands before preparing a bottle.
Always use clean bottles and nipples.
Always follow directions on formula can.
Never dilute formula.
Never give water to an infant, unless recommended by your
  pediatrician.
Do not heat in microwave.  This can cause hotspots.
Test temperature of formula on your wrist.
Never prop the bottle in baby's mouth, this can cause
  choking.
Check all nipples regularly for wear.  Deteriorating
nipples can cause pieces to break off posing a choking
  hazard.
Never give infants anything other than breastmilk or
  formula.
Never give a baby under 1 year of age honey.
