Slimming Juices and Fruity Ice Cubes
An easy way to reduce calories and sugar intake is to cut your fruit
juices in half with water. You might also make fruit-filled ice cubes.
Freeze fruit juice and sliced fruit in an ice cube tray. Add them to
lemonade. Sweeten your drinks with a few drops of stevia extract,
a useful herb for prevention and treatment of diabetes.

Weight Loss Teas
Look at some of the popular weight loss pills sold in supermarkets
or large variety stores: They contain tea and other sources of
caffeine such as guarana. Green tea, black tea, and especially
oolong tea have long been used to help us energize and stay slim
and healthy. The acids in tea reduce the absorption of dietary fats
in the digestive tract. Add a tea bag to steep for ten minutes with
soups, pasta, or other starchy and fat foods.

To brew the perfect pot of tea: Use a ceramic, non-metal tea pot.
Depending on the tea strength you enjoy, put in 1 - 3 teaspoons of
dried tea leaves into the pot.

Cover the leaves with just enough hot water to wet the leaves. Swish
around the water and tea and pour off the hot water. That washes off
any dust, awakens the tea flavor, warms the tea pot and removes
some of the caffeine.

If you want to remove most of the caffeine, allow the tea to steep in a
little water for 20 seconds before removing the water.

Finally, pour in enough hot water to fill the pot. Let the tea steep for
3 - 5 minutes or more and enjoy a cup of tea.
